MSM Would Like to Welcome Bill Marosy to the Leadership Team

Bill Marosy comes to MSM Security from the Federal Government after more than three decades in personnel security, investigations and law enforcement.  His most recent assignment was as the Executive Program Manager of the Federal Investigative Records Enterprise (FIRE) Outreach Directorate within the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB).

Bill is well versed in the government’s national background investigation mission and has held executive and senior management positions in Mission Support, Contract Oversight of the largest investigative contracts in the Federal Government valued at $3B, External Liaison, Division Management, Records Access, and Research & Development activities for OPM; was the Acting Deputy Director, Security & Emergency Actions, OPM; Special Agent in Charge, Field Operations, OPM; and security manager, senior adjudicator and lead investigator for the OPM Investigations Service.  Other previous positions included Security Manager and Operational Security Officer for White House Communications Agency (WHCA), Camp David; Assistant Chief of Security Operations and Intelligence for WHCA; and numerous assignments with the National Security Agency and Naval Security Group.  Bill is a Navy veteran and former Chief Cryptologist.  He has also worked for two Fortune 500 companies as a recruiting director/corporate investigator and was an administrative manager for one of the largest hospital groups in Ohio.

Attorney General Sessions appointed Bill as the Federal Non-Criminal Justice Representative to the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact (Compact Council) in 2017.  He served on several key committees and boards to include the Standards & Policy, Planning & Outreach, Sanctions Committees and the Advisory Policy Board’s Federal Working Group.  Bill also facilitated the White House Task Force on Records Access resulting from the Washington Navy Yard shooting, leading to numerous legislative changes to improve access to criminal history record information.

Originally, from Sharon, Pennsylvania, Bill currently resides in Mercer, Pennsylvania with his wife Debbie.  Bill holds degrees in business management, economics and human resources from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and City University in Seattle, Washington.  He is certified by the Georgia State Supreme Court as a Mediator and is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute.
